Corona Grips Kendrapara: 11 Villages Sealed, Patient Shifted to Cuttack

Kendrapara (Reporters Today Bureau): After the detection of irst Corona positive case in Kendrapara district yesterday, the administration sealed 11 villages in Aul area as a preventive measure to curb spread of the hazardous disease.

Hence, public movement in the areas has been strictly restricted and the district administration will take sanitisation and disinfection drives in the sealed area during the period. Besides, house to house survey is being carried out for screening of the inhabitants, said Collector Samantha Verma.

Meanwhile, the patient, a resident of Aul,  has been shifted to the specially built Corona ward in Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack for treatment. Swab samples of his family members have been collected and sent for testing. They have also been asked to stay in home quarantine.
