Congress leader Udit Pradhan arrested for sexually assaulting college girl

Bhubaneswar: Congress leader Udit Pradhan has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a college student in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.

The accused has been identified as Student Congress president Udit Pradhan.

According to reports, on March 18, the victim had gone to Master Canteen Chowk in Bhubaneswar with her friend and classmate, who introduced her to Udit Pradhan. Later, they went to a hotel in Nayapalli in Udit Pradhan’s vehicle.

It is alleged that Udit Pradhan drugged the girl by mixing a substance into her cold drink and then sexually assaulted her in the hotel room. He allegedly threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone.

However, the girl later filed a complaint with the Mancheswar police station. Based on the complaint, the police took action and arrested Udit Pradhan late at night.
