Cold Wave Continues To Grip Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: Cold wave continued to grip entire Odisha with mercury dropped below 10 degree Celsius in several towns yesterday night.

    Phulbani was the coldest town in Odisha at 4.5 degree Celsius on Tuesday night. While Daringbadi recorded 5 degree Celcius, Sonepur, Bhawanipatna, Anugul had 6 degree Celcius, 7.5 degree Celcius and 7.6 degree Celcius respectively.

    Similarly, the minimum temperature was 8 degree C in Keonjhar, Sundergarh and Titlagarh, Koraput town recorded 8.2 degree C, Jharsuguda 8.5 degree C, and Bolangir 8.7 degree C.

    The mercury dropped to 9.3 degree C in Balasore and Talcher, 9.4 degree C in Baripada, 9.5 degree C in Hirakud and 10 degree C in Malkangiri. The twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 9.8 degree C and 10 degree C respectively.

     According to Regionl Met Bhubaneswar, the cold wave will continue during next 24 hours across the State.
