CMNaveen Patnaik inaugurates ICSI’s Golden Jubilee Year National Convention

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year and in these fifty glorious years of its existence with many milestones achieved, the Institute today stands as a Premier National Professional Body with an objective to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries. This enriching journey which started in year 1968 with the small infrastructure, has now expanded to length and width of the country.

To mark this historic ocassion, the Golden Jubilee Year National Convention of Company Secretaries (46th Edition) and International Conference (6th Edition) is being organised on the theme ‘A Journey of 50 Glorious Years – Connecting from Grassroots to Global’ from 30th August – 1st September 2018 at Bhubaneswar.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik inaugurated ICSI’s Golden Jubilee Year National Convention of Company Secretaries (46th Edition) and International Conference (6th Edition) at Bhubaneswar today.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, while addressing the august gathering of eminent scholars, professionals, senior government officials, experts in various fields and other dignitaries, congratulated The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for attaining institutional excellence and being a torch bearer for the cause of Good Corporate Governance for the last 50 years. He also appreciated the selfless contribution and dedication of the institute and its stakeholders towards shaping new India 2022 through good governance.

Hon’ble Chief Minister said, “Company Secretaries play an important role and they contribute to the growth of the company. Odisha is a Manufacturing Hub of Eastern India. I hope, the company secretaries will get a fair share through Make in Odisha Campaign. Odisha has received huge investment proposals through this campaign. 60% of this we have already implemented.”
