CM to attend meeting on LWE in Delhi

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to attend a meeting of Chief Ministers and Home Ministers of Left-Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected states convened by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi during his three-day visit.

The meeting, to be chaired by Amit Shah, is aimed to take an update on the ongoing offensive and also discuss developmental projects being implanted in their respective jurisdictions. The Chief Minister is also likely to meet a few Union Ministers and discuss important issues relating to development and welfare programmes in state and meet some senior national leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and discuss organisational matters as the saffron party is stepping up its membership drive to strengthen its base in the state.

This will be his second visit to the National Capital in a week after his two-day trip to New Delhi when he met envoys of 34 countries and business tycoons to attract investment ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make In Odisha Conclave-2025.
