CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates the new office building of Cuttack DCP
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the newly constructed office building of Dy. Commissioner of Police, Cuttack. The function was also graced Rajya Sabha MP Anubhab Mohanty, MLA Debasis Samantray, Dr. Pramod Mallick, Sri Prakash Behera, Mayor Cuttack Smt. Minakshi Behera, Chairman Odisha Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Sri Subash Singh, Chairman Odisha Film Development Corporation Sri Satyabrata Tripathi, Corporators and people representatives of Cuttack. Dr. R.P.Sharma, DGP, Sri Satyajit Mohanty, CP, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack and other Senior Officers of State Police were present in the inaugural programme.
Since January, 2008, after formation of Police Commissionerate for the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, different units of the Office of DCP, Cuttack were functioning in different locations – DIB of Cuttack UPD, DHRPC, DCP’s office were functioning at C.B.-9 Cantonment Road whereas Establishment Section, DCRB, SR Section, functioning in the Ground Floor of the Office of I.G. of Police, Central Range, Cuttack. This was a temporary and ad-hoc arrangement. The newly constructed office building of Dy. Commissioner of Police, Cuttack situates over the Plot No. S.O.-9 on Mahanadi Ring Road, near Lower Baliyatra Ground. The building is having heritage look and similar to the structure of Odisha State Maritime Museum, Jobra, Cuttack. The building is three- storied having Ground floor, 1st Floor and 2nd floor. The floor area of the building is 24,500 Sq. ft. It was constructed by Odisha State Police Housing & Welfare Corporation. The cost of the project is Rs.7, 01, 04,000/-.
Facilities for functioning of Modern Control Room with dial-100 response system, Modern CCTV surveillance system, Reception Desk, Lobby, Visitors Room, Lift, Conference Hall, Board Room, Camp Office of Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack etc., are provided in the building.
