CM Majhi, Singh Deo Hail Armed Forces for Operation Sindoor

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised the Indian Armed Forces for their swift and precise execution of Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory mission that targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Taking to social media platform X, Majhi stated, “India stands united. Salute to our brave Armed Forces for the precision and resolve shown in #OperationSindoor. Every strike on terror is a message — we will not tolerate threats to our sovereignty.”

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo also expressed admiration for the forces, saying, “Operation Sindoor sends a clear message: threats to our nation will never be tolerated. I salute the courage and sacrifice of our brave forces. Jai Hind!”

The Indian Army on Wednesday confirmed that it had struck nine terrorist sites inside Pakistan and PoJK in a measured and non-escalatory operation. The strikes came in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian civilians and one Nepali national, most of whom were tourists.

A statement from the Army read, “Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory. No Pakistani military installations were targeted. Justice is served. Jai Hind.”

The Army emphasized that the operation upheld India’s restraint and responsibility, carefully selecting non-military targets associated with terror activities. A detailed briefing on the operation is expected later.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, acknowledged the strikes, confirming that missile attacks were carried out in Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad, amidst rising tensions between the two nations.

With both sides acknowledging the cross-border strikes, diplomatic observers are watching the situation closely, especially given the backdrop of the recent mass civilian casualties in Pahalgam.

Operation Sindoor marks a firm Indian response and reinforces the nation’s resolve to counter terrorism beyond its borders.
