CM disburses Rs 877 cr for farmers

On the auspicious occasion of Utkal Dibasa, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen releases Rs 877 crore directly to bank accounts of farmers under KALIA scheme.

Over 43 lakh small and marginal farmers and landless farm workers received Rs 2000 each in their bank accounts.  The financial assistance has been provided for agriculture in Kharif season.

Except for farmers of Jharsuguda , the farmers of all other districts will receive the KALIA monetary assistance.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik extended best wishes to farmers on Utkala Dibasa and said, “State’s development is linked with the welfare of farmers. ‘Therefore, we started the new financial year by providing KALIA assistance on this auspicious day.”
