Cholera Cases Detected in Jajpur

Jajpur:As many as 8 out the 41 collected samples tested positive for Cholera in Jajpur district. The Public Health Director Nilakantha Mishra informed the Cholera outbreak in the district.

He assured that the situation is under control and awareness drives, field-level prevention, diagnosis and treatment are being administered.

Diarrhoea has also spread its tentacles at severall places in Jajpur and Bhadrak. As many as 700 have been affected with diarrhoea in Jajpur.

People in Byasnagar, Jajpur Municipality, Dharmasala, Rasulpur, Korei, Danagadi and Sukinda blocks have also been affected. Health officials have been actively conducting medical surveillance in the affected regions, with teams visiting hotspots to control the outbreak. Increased vigilance, field-level prevention, and early treatment protocols are being followed to contain the spread.
With the 8 confirmed cholera cases, authorities and health teams are urging citizens to adopt necessary precautions to prevent further spread.
