Cheating Case: BSF Personnel Detained

Bhubaneswar (Adarsh Rout): detained A BSF personnel held by the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Commissionerate police on charges of cheating a woman on pretext of marriage.

The Jawan has been identified as Manoj Mahakud, a resident of Chasikhand village in Jagatsinghpur. He is currently posted at a BSF camp at Badatoda area in Khordha.

Sources said, the victim was working as an agent with a real estate firm. The BSF jawan had contacted the firm to buy a land in Bhubaneswar. During the period, he had come in contact with the woman employee. They started interacting on WhatsApp and fell in love.

The couple got physically closer after the Jawan proposed her for marriage. The woman alleged that Manoj forced her for abortion after she had become pregnant.

He allegedly had clicked some images and shot videos of their intimate moments. When the woman victim asked him for marriage, the accused jawan refused to tie and blackmailing the victim to make viral the snaps and videos of their intimate moment. According to the report of the woman victim, the BSF jawan demanding money for not to share the images and received Rs 20 lakh in installments.

Following a complaint lodged by the victim, the Mahila Police detained the accused for interrogation.
