CG: 4 Naxals Killed in Police Encounter

Raipur: Four Naxals were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Sukma district this morning.

The encounter took place in a forest under Jagargunda police station limits around 9.30 AM when joint teams of various security forces were out on an anti-Naxal operation, Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P was quoted as saying by PTI.

“Four Naxals killed in an exchange of fire during a joint operation by District Reserve Guard (DRG), 201 battalion CoBRA and 223 battalion CRPF in the forest area of Jagargunda, Sukma district today. Weapons were seized from the spot,” the IG Bastar said. (PTI)
