Bus Overturns in Nayagarh: 12 Injured, 4 Critical

Dasapalla: In an unfortunate incident, a bus overturned to the roadside while trying to overtake a truck this morning. The bus accident happened on the Khordha Balangir National Highway 57 (NH 57) near Sariganda in Nayagarh district.

As a result, the passengers in the bus were injured. There were around 17 passengers in the bus.

According to information, at least 12 were injured, four of them critically as the bus overturned to the roadside and met with accident in Nayagarh.

The incident happened when the bus was passing via Nayagarh on the NH. As they were very less vehicles the speeding bus tried to overtake the truck. Due to its speed it lost control and overturned to the roadside into a farm.

The locals rescued the passengers and rushed them to Nayagarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The driver fled the scene after committing the accident.
