Bus Fares Hiked

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Bus fares have been increased in Odisha today according to the automatic fare revision mechanism.

Fares of ordinary and express category buses increased by three paise per kilometre while fares of deluxe buses and AC Delux have gone up by six paise per kilometre and that of premium buses has been hiked by nine paise per kilometre.

The fares after hike in different categories is as follows:

• Ordinary bus fare increased to Rs 0.90/km from Rs 0.87/km
• Express bus fare hiked to Rs 0.94/km from Rs 0.91/km
• Deluxe bus fare hiked to Rs 1.31/km from Rs 1.25/km
• AC Deluxe bus fare hiked to Rs 1.59/km from Rs 1.53/km
• Super Premium bus fare hiked to Rs 2.47/km from Rs 2.38/km
