Burglar & Assault of Girl

Balasore: In a shocking incident Akrura Sahu of Bari Villege, PS: Simulia, Dist: Balasore appeared at PS and presented a report that about 8 PM his daughter Sukanti Sahu w/o- Kailash Chandra Behera of village, Bari was in his house, in the meantime some unknown culprits entered in his house and assaulted his daughter, broken his almirah and have taken away gold ornaments and cash. His daughter shifted to CHC Simulia and referred to DHH Bhadrak then referred to Aswini Hospital, Cuttack for better treatment. In this connection a case has been registered vide Simulia PS Case No. 63, dt.15.02.2025 u/s 331(4)/305(a)/109 BNS.

During course of investigation, Investigating Officer visited the spot, examined the complainant and other witness. Scientific team and dog squad was utilized to get physical clue at the spot. He examined some suspect’s person of the nearby spot.  He has taken steps to get the dump data through cyber PS. The victim i.e. injured lady aged about 42 Years is undergoing treatment at Aswini Hospital, Cuttack and now in ICU being referred from DHH, Bhadrak.

A dedicated joint team of Bashudevpur PS of Bhadrak and Simulia PS, under the guidance of DIG, ER, Balasore, was formed to apprehend the accused. During investigation, two persons who are suspected and fleeing away were detained and interrogated which led to discovery of weapon of offence. The accused persons are from Bideipur Village under Kasia Marine PS of Bhadrak. The case is under investigation.
