Brown Sugar Worth Rs 1 Cr Seized in Dhenkanal

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Two drug-peddlers were arrested and 1.9 kg brown sugar worth Rs 1 crore was seized from them by an STF team at Ghatipiri in Dhenkanal.

Acting on intelligence inputs, an STF team arrested Rakesh Kumar Sahoo of Godidihi and Santosh Kumar Sahoo of Gadasila in Dhenkanal.

“A case was registered against them under the NDPS Act and the two will be forwarded to the court of Special Judge-cum-District & Sessions Judge, Dhenkanal,” an STF official said.
