Bridge collapse in Nuapada

Nuapada: Residents of at least 10 villages have been cut off from mainstream and road communication following a bridge collapse in Nuapada district of Odisha on Thursday morning.

The recent heavy rainfall in the Sunabeda Sanctuary area of Komna Block in Nuapada district of Odisha has caused significant disruptions to the local infrastructure and road communication.

As per reports, the bridge on the Sunabeda-Gatibeda road has been washed away, cutting off communication between the two areas. As a result, residents of 10 villages are facing immense difficulties due to their isolation from the outside world.

Furthermore, the Cherechuan-Jamgaon Ghati main road has been blocked due to landslides, uprooted trees, and electric poles.

However, despite the severity of the situation, the administration is yet to clear the road, leaving traffic completely blocked in areas like Japhala.
