Breakthrough in Kuliana Firing Case: Six Arrested by Mayurbhanj Police

Baripada: In a major breakthrough, Mayurbhanj police have arrested six individuals in connection with the firing incident that occurred on June 22, 2025, along National Highway-18 near the Kuliana police limits. A 30-year-old man was critically injured in what is suspected to be a robbery attempt gone wrong.
The investigation, conducted under the direction of Odisha DGP and direct supervision of DIG Eastern Range Dr. Satyajit Nayak, was led by the Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj. The police team employed advanced techniques, including analysis of CCTV footage and forensic evidence, which proved instrumental in identifying and apprehending the accused.
During the operation, one weapon used in the crime was recovered. The successful detection and swift arrests have been praised by senior police officials, highlighting the efficiency and dedication of the investigating team.
