Boudh’s Wood in Puri For Ratha

Boudh: Today For the first time this year, woods have been sent from Boudh forest to Srikshetra that will be used for chariot construction for the world-famous Rath Yatra.
As per reports, 28 pieces of timbers were transported in a truck from the Kantamal forest range. The lot includes 10 pieces of Dhaura wood logs and 18 pieces of Sahaj woods.
The timbers were first brought to Boudh and after worshipping the same in front of the forest office, it was sent to Puri amid a religious ambiance. The atmosphere filled with sound of hulahuli, Haribol chanting and bells while the woods were worshipped.
An atmosphere of awe was created all around as people passing by stopped and leaned their heads on the carriage doors.
