Bomb explosion in bamboo seller’s house

Cuttack: A bomb explosion happened in Subhadrapur under Sadar police station in Cuttack district late on Friday night. The bomb was allegedly targeted on a bamboo seller of Cuttack. However, the reason behind the bomb blast is yet to be ascertained.

According to information, when the bamboo seller identified as Ajay Nayak was asleep in his house, unknown miscreants threw a bomb on his house. As a result a loud bomb explosion occurred in his Cuttack residence. However, no casualties or property loss has been reported.

The Sadar police IIC and SP of zone 4 reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. The miscreants fled the scene after hurling the bomb on his house.
