BMC Vehicle Catches Fire

Bhubaneswar: A Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) cleaning vehicle caught fire on Tuesday morning near Damana Square in Chandrasekharpur. The vehicle was on duty when it suddenly went up in flames, emitting dense smoke up to 15 feet high.
Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze using foam spray. Two fire brigades were deployed to control the fire, which temporarily disrupted traffic in the area.
Preliminary reports suggest a possible engine oil leak may have caused the fire. Police reached the spot to manage the situation and restore normalcy. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
