BJD urges government to allow them to meet President for 5 minutes

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has urged the Government to allow them to meet the President of India for five minutes during her visit to Bhubaneswar today.
According o reports, BJD will appeal for a solution to the incident of attempted bid of self-immolation of the FM College gilr student. The party has requested to discuss the failure of the law and order situation in the state with the President.
BJD has claimed that after the new government, women are not safe in Odisha, they are now expecting the President to give an assurance for the safety of women said the BJD.
President Droupadi Murmu is arriving in Odisha today for a two-day visit. There has been comprehensive security preparation for her visit. The Commissionerate Police conducted a thorough rehearsal.
President Murmu will be arriving in Bhubaneswar at 5:10 pm today on an Air Force aircraft. She will be attending the 5th convocation ceremony of AIIMS Bhubaneswar this evening.
As part of her two-day tour of Odisha, on July 15, she will be the chief guest for the 13th annual convocation ceremony of Ravenshaw University, where the Governor will chair it.
She will also lay foundation stones for three buildings for Ravenshaw Girls’ High School. She will also be the chief guest for the 600th birth anniversary celebrations of Adikabi Sarala Das and will award the Kalinga Ratna Puraskar-2024.
