BJD forms Disciplinary Action Committee

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the upcoming Panchayat by-elections, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Thursday constituted party’s State Level Disciplinary Action Committee with seven members.

The conch party constituted the State Level Disciplinary Action Committee where Debi Prasad Mishra, Pradip Kumar Amat, Chandrasekhar Sahoo, Rajashree Mallick, Sarada Prasanna Jena, Sarmistha Sethi and Dr. Lopamudra Baxipatra have been made the members.

Sources said that the Biju Janata Dal president formed the State Level Disciplinary Action Committee with the aim to ensure internal party discipline i.e all the leaders and workers of the party adhere to party’s principles and policies.

By acting against erring members, the committee will help preserve the party’s public image and credibility, especially in the face of unwarranted controversies, added the sources.
