BJD Announces 18 District Presidents Elected Unopposed in Organisational Polls

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday declared the names of 18 District Presidents who have been elected unopposed during the party’s ongoing organisational elections for 2025. The announcement was made by State Returning Officer Pratap Keshari Deb.
According to Deb, each of the 18 presidents was elected based on single nominations received from their respective organisational districts. The three-day internal election process began on April 13.
The party will move to the next phase of the organisational elections starting tomorrow. Following the district-level elections, the formation of the official and executive committees for the State Council members will begin. Deb also confirmed that the election for the BJD President will be conducted after the completion of these stages, with nomination and voting dates to be announced soon.

• Angul: Braja Kishor Pradhan
• Bargarh: Sushant Kumar Mohapatra
• Bhadrak: Jagannath Swain
• Boudh: Pradip Kumar Amat
• Deogarh: Romanch Ranjan Biswal
• Gajapati: Pradeep Nayak
• Jagatsinghpur: Prasant Kumar Muduli
• Jajpur: Saroj Kumar Mohapatra
• Jharsuguda: Harish Ganatra
• Kandhamal: Padmanabha Behera
• Malkangiri: Manas Madakami
• Mayurbhanj-1: Sudam Marandi
• Nabarangpur: Manohar Randhari
• Nayagarh: Ramesh Chandra Behera
• Nuapada: Abani Ranjan Joshi
• Puri: Umakanta Samantray
• Subarnapur: Saroj Kumar Kampa
• Sundargarh: Jogesh Singh
The party is expected to continue its internal democratic process with more elections and leadership appointments in the coming weeks.
