Bird-Flu creates havoc In Puri 

 Puri, Dec 22: The dreadly outbreak of Bird-Flu in Krushna Prasad Block of Puri district has creates havoc in the local residents as mass culling of chicken at infected poultry farms continued for the eighth consecutive day here on Friday .

As per the District Administraton’s direction the mass culling of birds has been carried out in several villages including Badasahi,Sanasahi and Bauripalli.While around 12,000 of birds had already been killed on Thursday,several hundreds were killed on Friday.Meanwhile,villagers have alleged that officials are not providing prior notice before culling.And now that the culling is being carried out much beyond the identified area,that spreads panic in the villagers.

                            Moreover,the following deaths of large number of crows and poultry at Naba and Nandala village three days ago,blood samples of the infected birds have been sent for test,the result of which are yet to be received.
