Bhubaneswar Sees Rainfall
Bhubaneswar: The capital city today woke up to moderate rainfall as the showers brought much-needed respite from the scorching heat wave.
This resulted in a significant fall in temperature in the city as it was 27.4°C at around 8.30 am. However, the Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued heat wave warning for several districts of Odisha for today.
Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir, the Meteorological Centre predicted and issued Orange Warning for these districts.
Heat wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Ganjam and Jajpur, the Meteorological Centre forecasted and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.
It further said that there will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) over the districts of Odisha during the next 5 days. Maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 4-6°C at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 5 days.
