Bhubaneswar Schools to Close Early for DG-IGP Conference Security
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced the early closure of all schools in Bhubaneswar at 1:00 PM on Friday due to heightened security ahead of the 59th DG-IGP conference.
The conference, taking place for the first time in Bhubaneswar, will see the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to arrive at 4:20 PM, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other high-ranking officials.
Key attendees include the Director Generals of Police (DGPs) from various states, as well as senior officials from the Border Security Force (BSF), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
In addition, Mo Bus services in key areas, including the airport, Lok Seva Bhawan, Raj Bhavan, State Guest House, Maitri Vihar, and the IPS Mess at Chandrasekharpur, will be affected during the event.
Security has been significantly tightened across the city, with several locations declared no-flying zones to ensure the safety of the dignitaries.
