Bhubaneswar-Prayagraj Special Flight for Maha Kumbh

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) has introduced a special flight to Prayagraj in response to the high demand during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela.
The special flight operates once a week, every Wednesday, in addition to the four existing weekly flights from Bhubaneswar to Prayagraj. With this, the total number of flights to Prayagraj has increased to five.
Speaking about the initiative, Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan said, “We currently operate four weekly flights to Prayagraj. In view of the Maha Kumbh rush, the government requested an additional flight, and we introduced a weekly Alliance Air service on Wednesdays. It is a 72-seater flight.”
The continuation of this special service beyond the Maha Kumbh Mela will depend on passenger demand, authorities confirmed.
