Bhubaneswar firing: Victim plotted to get himself shot

Bhubaneswar: The Balipatna firing incident in Bhubaneswar has taken a new twist. The victim had allegedly plotted to get himself shot and to blame it on another man he had a previous enmity with.

According to information, Deepti Ranjan, the one who was shot by the bullet had in fact plotted the attack on himself.

After investigation police found that he had a sexually assault case in his name and was arrested for the same. In order to take revenge from the woman and her husband (who had lodged the complaint), he plotted the attack on himself.

On Saturday night, he went near the house of the sexual assault victim and fired at himself. He wanted to project it as the woman’s husband had attacked him. He is undergoing treatment now and his condition is stable. After being discharged from the hospital he will be arrested by the police for launching the attack on himself.
