Bhitarkanika National Park to Remain Closed From Today

Kendrapada: Bhitarakanika National Park in Odisha’s Kendrapada district will remain closed for visitors from today till July 31 to facilitate the smooth breeding and nesting activities of estuarine crocodiles.

Authorities have implemented this temporary closure to ensure the safety of tourists, as crocodiles tend to become aggressive during their breeding and nesting periods.

Earlier, the park was closed for nine days from January 5th to 13th.
