Bharat Bandh Paralyzes Normal Life in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The nationwide ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by trade union’s paralyzed normal life at several places of Odisha.

The member participated in bandh called by the CPI(M) affiliated-Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) across the state to protest against Centre’s anti-labour policies’ pressing for 12-point demands including fixing minimum wage and equal wage for equal work.

The protestors hit the main roads alleging that government has failed to tackle challenges in economic crisis. The vehicular traffic and train services were affected across the state.

However, the BJP-affiliated Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh and the ruling Biju Janata Dal did not participate in the Bharat Bandh.While Congress joined the bandh in Odisha.
