Banks to Remain Closed for 11 Days in March

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): All banks will remain closed for eleven days in March. you may have to rush to your respective branches at the earliest.

While March 8 and 15 are Sundays, banks will remain closed on March 9 and 10 for Holi celebrations as it is observed at different places on different days. Post Holi, a three-day strike called by bank officials over a salary hike demand will paralyze the banking system till March 13. The following day is second Saturday again a holiday.

Besides, March 5 will also be a holiday in Odisha on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Divas.

In total, the month will see 19 non-working days on account of national holidays, weekly holidays and regional holidays apart from Holi and the bank strike.
