Baleswar By-Poll: Bobby’s Plan Successful

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): The BJD has won both Tirthol and Baleswar Sadar assembly seats in the state. While the Tirthol seat was certain for the BJD, doubts remained over Baleswar till the end of the counting. But in the end, the BJD was able to snatch the seat from the BJP. Without a high-tech bus and the Chief Minister’s campaign, the BJD has flown the victory flag in Baleswar. All the conspiracies in the party have failed and the BJD has snatched the seat from Madan Mohan Dutt’s son. The credit for the unexpected victory is being discussed in the BJD camp going to Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das alias Bobby Das. It is learned that the BJD has been able to win the seat due to Rabindra’s obedience to Bobby.

People who interested in politics know that anti-Bobby sentiment has intensified in the party since the 2019 general elections. Even in the Baleswar by-election, Bobby was indirectly attacked in various ways in an attempt to tarnish his image with the Supremo. Former MP Rabindra Jena or his wife were not given tickets as Bobby was related to them. The goal was to vote against the BJD by Rabindra’s supporters, which would make Bobby smaller in the eyes of the chief minister. To prove that Bobby and Rabindra acted against the party.

It was an unprecedented event in BJD history after Rabindra and his wife were denied tickets. Rabindra’s supporters openly stood against the BJD. He complained of irregularities in ticket distribution and did not accept Swarup Das as the Baleswar Sadar candidate. A fire broke out against the BJD in support of Rabindra. Even the slogan of ‘Chief Minister Murdabad’ was chanted, which was the first in the history of the BJD. No one has ever spoken out against the party or the supremo since the BJD’s foundation. But here, Rabindra’s supporters did not hesitate to openly state that Chief Minister Murdabad, would not vote for Swarup in the election or campaign for the party. For two days, Rabindra’s supporters demanded tickets and chanted slogans against the BJD. In Baleswar, anti-party fires raged. Experts predicted that the fire would destroy the party. There was also speculation that the BJD would loose from Baleswar.

The supremo was also shocked by Rabindra Sena’s open challenge. Similarly, the BJD was worried about Madan Mohan’s son being fielded as the BJP’s candidate. Again, Rabindra Sena was somehow determined to be the cause of the BJD’s defeat.

But Bobby was determined on proving all the speculations wrong. On the one hand, there is the conspiracy of the opposition and on the other hand, it was Rabindra’s supporters. So Bobby wasted no time in devising a special strategy for Baleswar. Rabindra was persuaded. After understanding with Bobby, Rabindra finally listened to him. Finally the by-poll result of Baleswar came in favour of Biju Janata dal only because of the effort of Bobby Das.
