Awareness campaign for slum dwellers 

Almost, one third of the world’s urban population resides in slums and the number would double by 2030. Slums denotes collection of people from various communities having a meagre income and living in unhygienic conditions thus making themselves most vulnerable for outbreaks of communicable diseases, so for the promotion of health rights, Action Aid Association in collaboration with Center for Child and Women Development (CCWD) organised an awareness drive based on health entitlement and vaccination to slum dwellers at Pathrabandha Slum under ward No-17 of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Speaking about health factors, Puja Moharana reflected on health development schemes of the government and said that people should be aware about the benefits meant for them.

Among others ASHA worker Soudamini Kathua and Susnata Mohanthy shared on Child hood vaccination to COVID-19 vaccination to slum dwellers. AWW worker Sangita Das & Social worker Damayanti Sahoo shared spoke about the schemes available for young girls. Sadasiv Swain, Secretary of CCWD shared the aim & objective of the campaign.
