Auto-Rickshaw Driver Killed in Road Accident in Ganjam

Hinjilicut: An auto-rickshaw driver lost his life in a tragic road accident near Goddess Santoshi temple in the Hinjilicut area of Ganjam district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Shiva Shankar Patra, a local auto-rickshaw driver who regularly ferried passengers. Fortunately, no passengers were onboard at the time of the accident.

The accident occurred on National Highway 59, near the temple. Reports indicate that Patra’s auto-rickshaw crashed, resulting in his instant death at the scene. He was later transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed him as brought dead.

Upon receiving information, Hinjili Police arrived at the scene and have since launched an investigation into the incident.
