Audience will sway to Sona Mohapatra’s songs in .FEST

After composer duo Vishal-Shekhar’s High Octane performance on the first day of Bhubaneswar City Festival .FEST, the Odisha-born singer Sona Mohapatra is all set to captivate the audience tonight. Adding to her fans’ excitement, singer, music composer and lyricist Sona tweeted, “Tree lined roads, beautiful walk ways, street art & the best street food in the world!!! Happy & proud to be playing the #Bhubaneswar FEST. #Odisha is there tomorrow at the IDCO Grounds for the #LalPariMastani night. #HWC2018. @sports_odisha.”

A native of Cuttack, Sona rose to fame after her live performances in the trend breaking talk show with Aamir Khan Satyamev Jayate. She is known for raw, powerful voice on stage and is loved by her fans for her no-nonsense attitude. Her rendition of popular Sambalpuri song ‘Rangabati’ along with Rituraj Mohanty’s Bande Utkal Janani in Coke Studio had been appreciated as well as critiqued by her Odia fans. Nevertheless, the video went on to garner 36 million views on YouTube.
