Air India flight makes emergency landing in Thailand after bomb threat

New Delhi: An Air India flight from Phuket to New Delhi received a bomb threat and made an emergency landing on the island confirmed  airport authorities said.

This incident came close to heels to the Ahmedabad plane crash. Reports said that, passengers were escorted out of the plane. A security check would then be carried out in flight AI 379, Airports of Thailand official informed.

Further it is worth mentioning that there were as many as 156 passengers on the flight. The aircraft took off from Phuket for Delhi but made a wide loop around the Andaman Sea and landed back at Phuket.
