AIIMS Bhubaneswar OPD Closed?  Details here

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau):  Director of the premier medical institution Dr. Gitanjali Batmanabane has cleared the air about the rounds on social media platforms that the outpatient department (OPD) services at AIIMS Bhubaneswar are suspended from today.

Dr. Gitanjali Batmanabane said “This is false news. The circular which is supposed to have been sent by the Joint Medical Superintendent is a hoax. He has never signed anything like this,” Dr. Gitanjali said today.

According to the information, there were some reports in media and TV channels that the medical institution AIIMS Bhubaneswar has suspended its OPD services till further orders.

Clearing the air, the chief of AIIMS Bhubaneswar said, “We have not done that and I want all public to know that we have not closed our OPD services as of now.”

The rumors on closing the OPD services at AIIMS Bhubaneswar spread after 26 healthcare workers including 20 doctors of AIIMS Delhi tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days.
