First Merit List Out for LLB Admissions in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department of Odisha on Monday released the first selection merit list for admission into three-year LLB courses for the 2025–26 academic session. Along with the merit list, institution-wise cut-off marks have also been published for leading law institutes in the state.

According to the department, University Law College in Bhubaneswar recorded the highest cut-off marks at 82.23%, followed by Madhusudan Law University in Cuttack with 79.42%, and Lingaraj Law College in Berhampur with 75.13%.

A total of 2,207 students had applied for admission into the three institutions, which collectively offer 360 seats. From these, 360 students have been selected in the first merit list — comprising 206 boys and 154 girls.

The admission process for the first selection will be conducted from July 22 to July 24. Selected candidates are required to select the ‘Freeze’ option, pay the admission fees online, and download their intimation letters before reporting to their allotted colleges for completion of the admission formalities.

The Higher Education Department has urged candidates to complete the process within the stipulated time to secure their seats.
