CM Mohan Majhi announces ‘Shakti Shree’ for woman safety

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday announced 8 aspects for safety of woman and girl students in the state under ‘Shaktishree’ program. He said that a ‘Shaktishree Sashaktikaran’ committee will be set up in each college which would be run by women.

The CM said that aiming at the safety of girls and creating an educational and safe environment for women, the Government of Odisha has come up with 8 aspects of Shaktishree program.

Besides, a Shakti App will be launched through which distressed girls and women can make complaint.

Also, CCTV will be installed and monitoring will be done in the control room.

If required the injured student who has sustained burn injury following a criminal attack in Puri, will be airlifted to Delhi for advanced treatment.
