Ganjam: 1 Killed, 5 Injured in Road Accident

Khallikote: In a tragic incident a man was killed while 5 others sustained injury in a road accident in Ganjam district of Odisha on Thursday. The accident took place on the National Highway near Narayani Chhaka under Khallikote Police Station limits in the district today morning.

The deceased has been identified as Budu Kumar of Ankuli area of Berhampur.

As per reports, a few people in a Bolero vehicle were returning to Berhampur after visiting Shri Jagannath temple in Puri and Ghatgaon Tarini temple when the accident occurred near Narayani Chhack.

After the accident, the locals rescued the injured persons and rushed them to the hospital in Khallikote for treatment.

After getting information, Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Police seized the body and sent for autopsy. Further probe of the matter is underway.
