President Murmu to Visit Odisha on July 14–15

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to embark on a two-day visit to Odisha from July 14, with a series of official engagements lined up in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
In preparation for the high-profile visit, the Odisha government convened a detailed preparatory meeting at Lokseva Bhawan on Wednesday, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja. Senior officials, including Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Satyabrata Sahoo, and DGP YB Khurania, participated in the discussions focused on security, route planning, medical aid, fire safety, and uninterrupted power supply.
As per the official itinerary, President Murmu will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar on the afternoon of July 14, flying in from New Delhi aboard a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
On the same day, she will attend the fifth convocation of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar as the Chief Guest.
The following day, July 15, the President is scheduled to attend the 13th convocation of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack and will also lay the foundation stone for the development of Ravenshaw Girls’ High School.
Later in the day, she will grace the 600th birth anniversary celebration of Adikabi Sarala Das, hosted by the Sarala Sahitya Sansad, and present the prestigious Kalinga Ratna Puraskar-2024.
The President is expected to depart for New Delhi on the evening of July 15. Authorities have been directed to ensure backup electricity generators and robust coordination among departments to ensure smooth conduct of all events during the visit.
