Miscreants Loot Lakhs of Money From ATM in Balasore

Soro: Throwing a challenge to the police, miscreants looted lakhs of rupees after cutting an ATM machine in Balasore district of Odisha last night. The loot incident took place at the SBI ATM kiosk at the Jodamba chhak under Bagudi Police Station limits in the Soro area of the district.

As per reports, late last night, the miscreants entered the State Bank of India’s (SBI) ATM kiosk at Jodamba chhak. They sprayed black colour on the CCTV cameras after entering inside the kiosk. Then they cut the ATM machine by the use of gas cutter and looted the cash. After the loot, they pulled the shutter down and fled the scene.

Although it has not been clarified exactly how much money was looted, it is reported that there were lakhs of rupees in the ATM machine when the incident occurred. However, the exact amount of money in the ATM is not known.

After receiving information, Soro police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident. Further probe of the case is underway while by this report was written, no arrest had been made.
