BSF busts Maoist Hideout in Kandhamal

Kandhamal: In a significant operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) unearthed a secret Maoist hideout in the dense forests near Kanibali village in Odisha’s Kandhamal district. The discovery was made during a combing operation based on intelligence inputs, revealing a concealed underground corridor supported by rocks and large trees.
BSF personnel recovered a substantial cache of explosives, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), detonators, gelatin sticks, batteries, cooking utensils, and medical supplies. The presence of these materials indicates the Maoists’ preparation for potential attacks in the region.
The operation was led by BSF Battalion 136 under the command of Commandant Manas Ranjan Panda. The team employed high-tech electronic equipment to safely navigate and search the underground corridor, ensuring the safety of the personnel involved.
