Rainfall To Lash Odisha For Next Two Days

Bhubaneswar: The weather conditions are expected to worsen as a cyclonic storm may lead to the formation of a low-pressure system, intensifying rainfall, especially in Western Odisha and the coastal districts.

Several districts in the state are likely to witness heavy rainfall, with some areas possibly experiencing heavy to very heavy downpours. As a precautionary measure, the weather department issued an orange warning for various districts on July 31st and August 1st, indicating the need for high levels of caution during this period.

As we approach the 31st, the rainfall’s intensity is expected to escalate further, with heavy to very heavy rain predicted across most parts of the state. Consequently, an orange warning has been issued for several districts, highlighting the risk of very heavy rainfall during this period.

Moreover, on the current day, a yellow warning has been issued to 14 districts in Odisha due to the expectation of heavy rainfall.
