National Boxing Championships: Lovlina Borgohain enters quarter-finals

In the Women’s National Boxing Championships, Lovlina Borgohain entered the quarter-finals owing to a walkover as pugilists from Haryana and Kerala impressed in Vijayanagara, today.

World Championship bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain of Assam, who will open her campaign on Thursday, is also expected to move up without much hassle.

Four of Kerala boxers Divya Ganesh (69 kg), Indira KA (75kg), Anaswara PM (81kg) and Fousiya AT (81kg) entered the quarter-finals along with four boxers from Haryana.

Three pugilists from Railways, two each from Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh and All India Police and one from Rajasthan, made it a worthwhile event for themselves.
