836 New COVID Cases Registered in Odisha, TPR 3.93℅

Bhubaneswar,5/8(Reporters Today Bureau): As many as 836 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Odisha during the last 24 hours across the state.

Of these, 488 persons are in quarantine while 348 are local contacts.

The number of active cases is 6181.

As per the data shared by the Information and Public Relations Department on Friday, as many as 21,255 samples were tested during the last 24 hours in the State. The State’s COVID-19 test positivity rate (TPR) stands at 3.93 percent.

Angul reported two cases while Balasore registered nine cases, Bargarh 30, Bhadrak 4, Bolangir 32, Boudh 10, Cuttack 20, Deogarh 6, Dhenkanal 2, Gajapati 6, Ganjam 2, Jagatsinghpur 4, Jajpur 14, Jharsuguda 16, Kalahandi 25, Kandhamal 16, Kendrapada 7, Keonjhar 8, Khurda 117, Koraput 17, Mayurbhanj 55, Nawarangpur 33, Nayagarh 19, Nuapada 21, Puri 7, Rayagada 9, Sambalpur 62, Sonepur 14, Sundargarh  242 and State Pool 27 cases during the past 24 hours.
