8 Fishermen Detained by SL Navy

Rameswaram:  The Sri Lankan Navy today detained eight tamil fishermen from Pamban here for allegedly fishing in their territorial waters, officials said.

They have been taken to the Trincomalee naval camp, an official of the fisheries department here said. Earlier this week, the Sri Lankan navy had arrested 11 fishermen from this island for allegedly poaching in their waters.
