50k people affected as 14 panchayats of Pattamundai Block submerged

Kendrapara: As many as 50 thousand people have been affected after 14 panchayats of the Pattamundai Block in Kendrapara district of Odisha have submerged due to increase in the water level of the Bramhani River.

As per reports, the waterlogging has cut off many panchayats from the outside world, leaving residents struggling to cope with the crisis.

Srirampur, Damarpur, and Balabhadrapur panchayats have been inundated for the past two days, with knee-deep water on roads and the Dheya area completely submerged. The situation is further complicated by the fear of crocodiles, which has gripped people living along the river.

District officials, visited the flood-affected areas to assess the situation. However, locals have complained about the lack of help or relief from the administration.
