440 detained in Jharsuguda on suspicion of being Rohingya

Jharsuguda: As many as 440 people have been detained in Jharsuguda of Odisha on suspicion of being Rohingya.

Police are questioning the detainees at the Black Diamond School and Kalyan Mandap.

Northern IG Himanshu Lal said that they are being questioned on suspicion of being Rohingya.

Investigation is underway to find out how they came illegally, and via which route they came. Further investigation in this matter is underway.
