3rd Cadaver Kidney Transplant Conducted in SCB

Cuttack (Pramit Pramathes): The 3rd cadaver kidney transplant has conducted in Sri Rama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The kidney of Rajalaxmi Das of Delang has been donated.

Rajalaxmi met with a road accident on the 1st of March and was critically injured. She was admitted in a private hospital in the State capital. Her family decided to donate her kidneys after the doctors declared her as brain dead last morning.

The kidneys were transplanted to a woman of Mayurbhanj, Ritarani Mohanty who was being treated in SCB Medical in the Silver City. This is the 3rd such transplant in the State.
